Meet Brian Lake, D.O.

Dr. Brian Lake, D.O. provides compassionate, evidence-based, comprehensive endocrinology care for patients in the Largo, Florida, area. He focuses on the care of patients with diabetes and thyroid disease, but also sees the entire spectrum of endocrine disorders. He cares for patients with disorders of the thyroid, parathyroids, pituitary, and adrenals and also sees patients for osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, low testosterone, obesity, and other related conditions.

Meet Kimberley Philip, APRN

Kimberley Philip, APRN comes to us from Advent Health in Tampa with tremendous experience in endocrine care.  She has been working in endocrinology for over 15 years and will be working side-by-side with Dr. Lake to provide compassionate, evidence-based comprehensive care in endocrinology.

Education

Brian Lake, D.O., completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and finished training with a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology.

Experience

Dr. Lake returned to his hometown in Pinellas County to open his own endocrine practice in August of 2017 after being in practice in Winter Haven, FL for the prior 8 years.  He is currently on staff at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg and serves on the advisory committee for Life Help Diabetes Education Center and St. Anthony's Hospital.  He is is actively involved in the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society on their board of directors and lectures on diabetes and endocrine topics for other physicians in the area.  He is also teaching resident physicians and medical students from Northside Hospital and Heart Institute and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton as well as nurse practitioner doctorate students from USF.  He is also involved in the item writing and review committee for the American Board of Osteopathic Internists in rewriting the endocrinology certification board exam.
